Just what does a breakfast look like for someone following a big breakfast diet.
If our target is just over 600 calories, consisting of 58 grams of carbs, 47 grams of protein and 22 fat grams. just like the women in Dr. Daniela Jakubowiczs' study then a typical big breakfast might be something like:
A bowl of sugar free cereal.
Around 100ml of milk.
2 eggs (boiled or poached, not fried) 2 eggs poached/boiled
2 pieces of grilled bacon (again not fried)
An apple, or perhaps a small glass of pure orange juice
The women in Dr. Daniela Jakubowiczs' group would go on to eat 630 calories more over the course of the day, meaning their daily intake was 1,240. Overall the big breakfast diet contained 46 grams of fat, 97 grams of carbohydrates and 93 grams of protein.
